Fish Survey of Nantucket Lake: A class from the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries at Texas A&M University conducted a fish survey in the fall of 2004. The Fish Survey 2004.
Another survey was conducted in the fall of 2009, again by TAMU students. Fish survey report 2009.
Park Rules
- For use by Nantucket subdivision home/lot owners and their guests only.
- NO SWIMMING ALLOWED
- Daylight hour use only.
- Guest must be accompanied by a home/lot owner, or must have a note from the home/lot owner, or the home/lot owner's Nantucket dash board placard that verifies that they are their guest.
- All fires must be in barbecue pits.
- All non-food trash must placed in trash receptacles or removed from the property.
- Leftover food should not be disposed in trash receptacles due to stray animals.
- Parking is only allowed within fenced area along park road and in parking area near boat house.
- Boats can only be launched at designated launch ramp to the south side of the boat house.
- All activities should conform to reasonable noise limits.
Lake Rules

- Daylight hour use only beginning from 1 hour before sunrise to 1 ½ hour after sunset.
- The following State of Texas boating/fishing regulations (www.tpwd.state.tx.us/) must be followed::
- Approved life vests must be worn according to State of Texas regulations, and by individuals under 13 years of age. (www.tpwd.state.tx.us/boat/wsdigest.htm)
- Only State of Texas legal fishing equipment may be used (www.tpwd.state.tx.us/fish/infish/regulate/regs.htm).
- A fishing license is not required to fish on the lake/park, since it is a private lake/facility not connected to public waters. (http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/fish/guide/licen98.htm)
- Boats must be non-motorized or powered by an electric trolling motor only.
- Fishing is only allowed from boats, boat house in park, or from land of common areas.
- All home/lot property lines extend into the lake, therefore one cannot walk and fish from the lake shore, except in common areas.
- Fishing from home/lot owner land must be with permission of home/lot owners.
- All activities should conform to reasonable noise limits.
